Follow Friday [15] & TGIF [2]
Q: You are a matchmaker -- your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?
Oh, I don't know. I don't like book crossover pairings too much....But I liked Lucy from The Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers and Cole from Everneath, so how about the two of them? They are both single, with a love for music and badness (Cole is the evil one, but Lucy is getting there, too :) . Lucy is a witch, who likes to sing and Cole is an immortal with a rock band. I think they would make a great couple.
Another pairing: Dexter & Fiona (from Hello Kitty Must Die). They would kill each other :D
Q: Issue Books: Which books have you found to be very rewarding when it comes to tackling tougher issues?
- The Duff: Designated Ugly Fat Friend by Kody Keplinger - self-esteem problems. I really liked this book.
- Shadows on the Moon - self-harm, cutting. [My Review]
- Hunger (Riders of the Apocalypse #1) by Jackie Morse Kessler - eating disorder. I don't love this book as much as the other two, but it has an interesting (not too realistic) approach to the problem. I haven't read them, but book 2 seems to be about cutting, and book 3 has an MC who is bullied.
